We all want our students to transfer the knowledge and skills they learn in economics to their lives outside the classroom. With this goal in mind, award-winning economic educator Amy Krzyzanowski has developed a course that includes units on behavioral economics, financial crises, population economics, and more.
Attendees will explore her curriculum map, considering ways to modify an existing course or create a new one. Five Econiful members will receive a complimentary copy of Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow.
Amy Krzyzanowski is in her thirteenth year of teaching at the Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. While her career in education began in a middle school social studies classroom, she has since found her niche teaching high school economics. Amy holds a BA in Economics from the University of Delaware (UD) and an MA in Secondary Education from Wilmington University. Most recently, she returned to UD to earn her MA in Economics Education and Entrepreneurship in 2021. She has a passion for integrating technology into the learning process and has created a set of economics themed digital escape rooms that she is excited to share.
